Drupal Ireland Meetup
This weekend I went to my first ever Drupal event! It was a day long meetup organised by the Drupal Ireland group and was held in DERI, NUI Galway. It was great to be finally able to meet other "drupalites" and see what others in Ireland are up to.
There were a number of excellent presentations, including one on "Developing Modules for Drupal 6" given by John Morahan and "Theming in Drupal 6" given by Alan Burke. I was especially interested in the "Drupal Security" presentation given by the event's main organiser, Stéphane Corlosquet. Other topics covered included "Semantic Web", "Views & CCK" and "Views with CCK Node & View References". I also gave a short presentation on the Code Review and Lightbox2 modules, though it was quite brief as we had already run over the time by almost 2 hours!
Fingers crossed there will be another Ireland event organised soon - maybe even in Dublin this time!
